I pick my soap by the scent.

Oh I love vanilla! I would choose it by scent first, but also I have to say I've never seen any like yours, with all the detail and the unusual shapes; that'd be a big draw for me.

I love to keep my favorites in an old jar, yours are soo pretty and if one is being used and starts to look not as pretty it sits under the kitchen sink! Oh and of course a nice scent

I usually go by the scent. Your soaps are so different from the rest. Hope you have great sales.

You do not need to send me a bar of soap, I have way too many. But it would never hurt to try another. :)

I will do the honors, however, of telling you what originally tempted me to buy handcrafted soap. I have loved soap since I was about 8 years old. But I'll skip forward to my later adult years. I loved the entire idea of someone crafting the soap themselves, knowing it did not come from a factory, that it was going to be good for my skin, and knowing that this person thought alike (loved all things nearly natural).

You have the most intricate soaps that I have ever seen. I always enjoy visiting you here and seeing what you are working on. I love it that a soap crafter can do what they find desirable, creating their own type of soap!

So, how is moving coming along?

I'm a sucker for exfoliating soaps, that and a scent I like. Also important what it's made from, as I'm allergic to a lot of chemicals. So I love handmade soaps where I know exactly what's in it! xXx

I chose by name first, then bu scent and then by look.

I prefer handmade soap from commercial ever since I tried it. It is soo nice on the skin.

Since I started making my own, I keep buying other people's soap, just to see what it's like. Lol. Silly, I know. Have fun in your new workshop. I am still working out of my kitchen (jealous)

There are a few things, which tempts me to buy a handmade soap, scent first, colour, design. But the reason why I buy only handmade soap and no industrial made is that handmade soap is really a pleasure for my skin, I like the foam, the feeling on my skin. I like them lying and standing in my bath and love to have a look on them!

For me it would be scent and texture I think - something just the right size too - some shop bought soap bars just feel really sort of clumsy when you use them

I love handmade soap because I know where it came from and what's in it. As far as choosing goes, it's mainly down to the scent and texture for me, but when they look as gorgeous as yours that's a big plus too!

For me, it's all about the ingredients. I love that high-quality handmade soap is free of icky ingredients often found in commercial soaps!

I am just learning more about handmade soaps. What I like about them is they dont seem to have the harsh chemicals that are in commercial brands. My skin drys out really easy so im interested in trying handmade soaps!

Cole said...

When does this end?

I love handcrafted soap because it's just more unique that mass produced. The smell, the shape, the art of it.

I am interested in handmade soaps because of the natural ingredients and the scent. Thank you!

I buy handmade soaps as much as possible. For me it has to have a great scent, nothing that smells 'manufactured', not feel oily or greasy when I use it, lather is even better; really interesting shapes or designs so they look pretty when I get them or give as a gift, natural ingredients and (oh dear) I love pretty packaging.

I love buying handcrafted soap because it is always unique, and always smells SO good. All the soap I own is handcrafted!

Congrats on the studio - you must be settling in now.

Scent is definitely the decider for me and if it looks gorgeous too that's a bonus...

...and all your soaps look gorgeous!

Kimberly said...

Obviously the scent is important, but I really like cute, shapes. That catches my attention really quick!

Diane said...

the smell. I love vanilla! Thanks for sharing.

That soap is gorgeous!

I buy handmade soaps because of these reasons:
1. the same reason I buy anything handcrafted - I like supporting an individual artist making an honest living doing something they love and are skilled at
2. There is usually more scent variety and better lather than storebought soaps.
3. They look prettier! haha.
